Jack Receives “Bring it Home Award” by Connecticut Convention & Sports Bureau On Thursday, Apr. 24

HARTFORD, Conn. – Quinnipiac University Director of Athletics & Recreation Jack McDonald will accept the 2014 “Bring It Home” Award from the Connecticut Convention & Sports Bureau on Thursday, April 24 as part of a 4 p.m. awards ceremony of the Connecticut Conference on Tourism (CCOT) at the Connecticut Convention Center.

Frozen Four 2014

Quinnipiac will be one of six recipients of the award, created to recognize individuals and organizations for promoting the State of Connecticut as an event destination. In March, Quinnipiac hosted the 2014 NCAA Women’s Ice Hockey Frozen Four at High Point Solutions Arena at the TD Bank Sports Center in Hamden, Conn. on Mar. 21-23.

“I am very humbled by this honor from the Connecticut Convention & Sports Bureau,” McDonald said. “This award also goes out to the entire Quinnipiac community, the QU- Women’s Frozen Four Planning Committee and especially our tournament co-Directors Jamie Schilkowski and Eric Grgurich. I am very grateful for this honor and look forward to bringing many more NCAA and collegiate sporting events to Quinnipiac and Connecticut.”
